My journey into my current role has been both unexpected and rewarding. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration, but my initial passion was in pursuing law or something related to the arts. After graduation, I landed my first job as a real estate virtual assistant in the US, which introduced me to the dynamic and fast-paced world of real estate. However, the time difference was challenging, and I realized I needed a better balance. Taking a step back allowed me to reflect and refocus on what I truly wanted in my career. Fortunately, I came across an opportunity that perfectly aligned with my skills and interests in real estate, while also offering the flexibility I needed. This role has been a great fit, and I’m excited to continue growing and making an impact in the field.
I am most knowledgeable in managing day-to-day administrative tasks and navigating the real estate process from contract to close. I have a strong understanding of reading and interpreting contracts, drafting offers, and searching for properties that meet specific criteria. Additionally, I’m skilled in handling various computations related to property valuations, rental yields, and other financial aspects.
One of the most challenging projects I’ve worked on involved following up with clients and third parties, such as title companies, where the time difference posed a significant obstacle. Communication delays were common, and responsiveness was often an issue, especially when deadlines were approaching. There was a specific instance where I faced a tight deadline, and critical documents were still pending. Despite repeated attempts to communicate, I wasn’t getting the responses needed. I knew I had to take a more proactive approach. I made the decision to go the extra mile by directly reaching out to the parties involved. My persistence paid off, and I was able to resolve the situation, ensuring the project stayed on track and met its deadline.
I approach helping clients by being empathetic and truly understanding their wants and needs, rather than just focusing on what’s available. I believe in prioritizing their satisfaction to ensure they feel heard and supported throughout the process. I make it a point to be accommodating, welcoming all their questions or concerns, and providing clear, honest answers. My goal is to build trust and ensure they feel confident and comfortable in every decision they make.
The values most important to me are being true to myself and upholding a strong work ethic. I believe in being responsible and accountable for my actions and decisions, which builds a trustworthy relationship, especially in a virtual setting. I prioritize open and transparent communication, ensuring that everyone is on the same page. I also deeply respect everyone’s time, especially since in this field, time is of the essence and crucial to achieving success.
I once helped a client not only achieve their career goals but also supported them with a personal challenge they were facing. By being attentive and extending a helping hand beyond just the professional scope, I was able to build a deeper and more trusting relationship. It was rewarding to see that my efforts were valued not just in the context of work, but in their personal life as well. For me, this is the ideal relationship where trust and support go both ways and extend beyond business needs.
Outside of work, I have a deep interest in politics and the arts. I’m passionate about dancing, painting, and writing, which allow me to express my creativity in various ways. I also enjoy engaging in physical activities like running and boxing, which keep me active and energized. These hobbies and interests are a significant part of my life and contribute to my overall well-being and personal growth.
My personal interests and hobbies significantly contribute to my professional skills and growth. My passion for dancing, painting, and writing enhances my creativity and problem-solving abilities, which are crucial in navigating complex situations and thinking outside the box in a professional setting. Engaging in activities like running and boxing helps me maintain physical and mental stamina and keeps me focused and resilient in high-pressure environments. My interest in politics and the arts keeps me informed and culturally aware, which I believe enhances my ability to relate to diverse perspectives and communicate effectively.
I think with the way we live and work is changing, and with more people working remotely, there’s likely to be more focus on home office spaces and flexible living setups. Staying updated on these trends will be key for anyone in the industry to keep up and meet clients’ evolving needs.
This is the field I enjoy and want to continue growing in, so my professional goals include contributing to the company’s growth and success and taking on more responsibilities in the future. On a personal level, I’m looking to deepen my involvement in the arts and continue exploring my passions in dance, painting, and writing. I also aim to stay active and healthy by incorporating more running and boxing into my routine.
